Comox Valley Foot Care
About Us
Courtney Chalk, LPN, Foot Care Nurse
Courtney started out her life spending many hours as a young child in a seniors’ home while her mother helped care for her grandmother. Courtney and her great-grandmother were very close, and Courtney would spend hours tending to her. This included many hours of foot rubs taking care of her feet, as only a 3-year-old could.
These memories of tending to feet simply became that – memories. Until later in life when these early experiences would help shape the passions later to come. Courtney began her professional career as an esthetician, providing a variety of services in a spa setting such as massage and body treatments, manicures and pedicures, and many others.
From here, she returned to school to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. After a grueling couple of years of attending nursing school through a pandemic, Courtney graduated as an LPN. She then began working in Victoria at the Royal Jubilee Hospital as a surgical nurse for the post-operative care of hips and knee replacements.
Life later brought Courtney to relocate to her hometown of Comox Valley where she started work at the Comox Valley Hospital in its low intensive rehabilitation unit.
Looking for a new adventure that would bring her away from a hospital setting, Courtney found foot care nursing. After completing an advanced online theory course and 32 hours of onsite clinical experience, Courtney is up and running with her new business and is ready to provide professional, affordable foot care to all.
